Grand Island Liberty Campus

The Grand Island Veterans Home, which was originally open only to Union veterans of the Civil War, welcomed its first veteran in 1888. Now, after 132 years, veterans no longer call this place home. In December of 2018, the 47-acres campus along with all of its residents and staff was relocated to Kearney, Nebraska and has since sat vacant. A request for proposals was issued by the State of Nebraska for the redevelopment of the campus, and our team responded, and was awarded the project.

We image a space that is not only beautiful, but safe, family-friendly, vibrant and salutes our American Veterans. This space includes a beautiful park with an exquisite tribute to our veterans, affordable housing for seniors, students and our American heroes, educational training facilities, and beautiful office space focusing on health and wellness. We see this development being centered around providing affordable housing to the community while supplementing the campus with appropriate amenities and local users (commercial, office, medical, educational etc.)

The project will kick-off in 2023.

LEARNING COMMUNITIES CENTER OF SOUTH OMAHA

We selected White Lotus Group as the owner's representative for us and this project. The team started by identifying some problems the Learning Community was having which included the need to acquire real-estate, build that real-estate out to fit their needs and then finally, how that real estate would be funded. In less than sixty days, White Lotus Group coordinated the acquisition, the design with RDG Planning and the construction with Ronco Construction to initiate a complete project plan. One hundred (100) days later - the center was delivered for 22% under the original budget approved by the Learning Community.


WEST DODGE DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES

The State of Nebraska was looking for the perfect new home for a West Omaha Department of Motor Vehicles, and after an intensive proposal process, selected a site at West Dodge Pointe.

This 14,000 square-foot single-tenanted building will allow the DMV to have an extremely visible and convenient location in west Omaha – right off 168th and Dodge. With this premium location sitting right on the Expressway, we see this as a location that will facilitate growth for the DMV, and also in the West Omaha area. The DMV will be neighbors to one of the fastest growing automobile companies in the Midwest – Baxter Auto Group, and adjacent to the largest auto mall in Omaha which will allow for seamless registration. Ample parking, as well as a motorcycle testing course will be readily available. This project was completed in the Spring of 2021 ahead of schedule and under budget.
